I know I have not posted the second fitness challenge, but it will be up by this weekend!! I have been very impressed with the results from people on the blog and from my friends outside of the blog who participated! WELL DONE!
In the meantime, don’t stop working out!!!
This is hard for me, especially right now with as busy as it is. Every evening it seems I have something going on and I have not been finding time for myself and the result is that I feel exhausted and sluggish. I do not like this feeling. I never realized how much better I actually feel and how much more energy I have when I work out, even if it is just for 20 minutes. Besides the obvious health benefits, there really is something (I am now realizing) that is mentally invigorating about getting that heart rate up and working out. I have not had that for a few days now and I can tell a difference in both how I feel and how my body feels. So I am really going to try to workout, even if it is just for 20-30 minutes until I start the next fitness challenge next Monday.
TALK TO ME…..what are you doing to workout? What types of workouts do you do when time is limited or when you are not feeling up to doing a long and intense workout? What types of workouts do you feel give you the best result in a short amount of time?

I am on week 3 of P90x. If you have heard of it, it is an 7 day a week program (one day is stretching so that is basically like a rest day). There are 3 versions of this workout - Classic, Doubles (when you workout twice some days - this is for athletes in training and psychos), and lean (for those that are still looking to lose weight).
ReplyDeleteI am doing the lean version and following the diet guide as closely as possible (I accidentally had two beers last night).
Since March 1st, I have worked out every day and have really followed the diet. February 26th I got the clear from my doctor that my pneumonia was all gone so I was excited to get back in the game and join your fitness challenge!!
The workouts are different everyday and are usually one hour.
Day 1 - Core Synergistics
Day 2 - Cardio X
Day 3 - Arms, Shoulders, and Biceps plus Ab Ripper X (this makes me want to barf, it's so hard)
Day 4 - Yoga X (90 mins)
Day 5 - Back and Legs
Day 6 - Kenpo X
Day 7 - Stretch
So far, I am loving it and the weight is coming off again.
Walk, just walk. I love when the weather is nice and i can get out and be outdoors. I walk on the bike path at the Rec Center, at the track at the High School, around the neighborhood, on hiking trails, anywhere! When i don't feel like going to the gym, or am having an off day, which i have a lot of, i just get outside and walk. I've walked in 20 degree temps with snow up to my shins(which burns more calories), in rain, and in the heat. It sucks while i'm doing it, but i feel better knowing that i did something. I try to do at least an hour so i can walk three miles. So, for me, when i don't want to work out, i just walk. (and it gives you great time to think!)
