Food Tip: Plating Portions

When it comes to putting food on our plates, typically the biggest portion goes to our favorite food. In my case my favorite food is usually something white like rice, potatoes, or pasta. However, we all know that those are not the best foods especially when you are trying to lose weight.

So what is the recommended portion of food to have on your plate? Well according to medical websites half of your plate should consist of vegetables, a quarter is meat, and the other quarter for your starch.



I thought this was a fantastic and very easy tip when plating your food!

    I'd say that the largest portion of my plate is either potatoes/pasta or meat.
